The Barbara K. Vitt Teachable Heart Scholarship

The family of Barbara Vitt (aka, Mrs. Vitt) and The Teachable Heart are teaming up to establish a new scholarship in her name. In recognition of her lifetime devoted to public education and the students she served, we are happy to announce, “The Barbara K. Vitt Teachable Heart Scholarship.”

During her 50-year teaching career, Mrs. Vitt taught literally thousands of students, and helped hundreds more apply for, and win, countless scholarships to assist with their higher education. What better way to acknowledge the one who helped so many find a scholarship than to begin a scholarship in her name?! If your life was among the countless many that Mrs. Vitt impacted as
either a student or co-worker, we invite you to join us in funding this annual scholarship in Mrs. Vitt’s name.

Winners will demonstrate that they are Teachable (showing a strong ability and desire to learn) and have a Heart to serve others. The financial need of the student will also be taken into consideration.
